Oyster Recipes

With the Oyster Steady it is now so much easier to create your favorite oyster recipes.
We have included some of our favorite recipes for you to enjoy.

Oyster Kilpatrick

Preparation Time:
5 minutes

Ingredients:
12  natural oysters in the 1/2 shell
2 lean bacon rashes chopped finely
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce.

Preparation:
Place the oysters in each of the openings on the Oyster Steady tray;
top with bacon, drizzle with sauce.
Place the tray under Grill or bake in oven for 5-10 minutes depending on your taste.

Oyster Steady Meat & Veg

Ingredients:
2 dozen  Natural Oysters in half shell
3 lean bacon rashes chopped finely
1 red onion finely chopped
1/4 cup green Capsicum chopped finely
1/4 cup celery chopped finely
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
2-3 drops Tabasco sauce


Preparation
In a frying pan cook the bacon until crisp, remove to paper towels to drain then crumble.
Cook the red onion, capsicum, and celery; cook until just tender. Stir in lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco.
Place the oysters in each of the openings on the Oyster Steady tray
Spoon the mixture over the oysters in the shells then sprinkle with the crumbled bacon.
Place the tray under Grill or bake in oven for 5-10 minutes depending on your taste.
Serves 4

Oyster Mornay

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:
60 gr. butter
1/3 cup plain flour
2 cups of milk (500 ml)
1/2 cup of grated cheddar cheese
24 medium oysters on the half shell


Preparation
Melt the butter in medium pan, add flour cook, stirring, about 3 minutes or until mixture thickens and bubbles. Remove from heat, gradually stir in milk; cook, stirring, until mixture boils and thickens. Remove from heat, stir in half the cheese.
Place oysters on The Oyster Steady; spoon sauce onto oysters, sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Grill until browned lightly.
Serves 4
